Finish product, welded and band-aided over with flexi-pipe.
I Like! Sits away from the oil tank, turns up right behind transmixion, muffs tight, lower all around, and aiming backward more, for everyone else's hearing pleasure. Fahrradknugen.Schintzengruben Style.
So this is what I came up with for the exhaust.

Christmas Trip 2013

I have not posted since I left KY, so here is the short and dirty: I've been in CA since July, enjoying the weather. I got my bike runnning and put around 300 miles on it before I ran off the road and layed it down in some gravel. Luckily, me and old Lady Luck are both OK. (she earned her name that day)

I'm messing around with the pipes right now. I also put on a chopper seat that is way more comfortable. I'm also in the process of sorting out the front end a little better. I've never been quite happy with the handlebar set up and now I'm thinking I want an 18 or 19 inch rim up front. PLUS front brake, that could have helped a little on dead man's curve.

So my buddy loaned me his d3000 Nikon, with which I took all of the afformentioned and here to come fotos.

I drove west on Hwy 20 ...

over Donner Pass...

around lake Donner...

Who ever owns this barn is a pure asthete to shore it up like this, it can serve no functional purpose.

North over the Little Truckee River...

to Sierraville.

Then further north to Vinton and Chilcoot CA

Before turning east again and past Border Town with a huge frozen lake at 5000 ft.

I eventually passed through Reno and made the loop back to Truckee on the I-80. The route from Reno to Truckee is along the Truckee River through the same gorge as the Railroad as well. It is BEAUTIFUL.

Near Farad, I looked to my left and saw a big bird flying along almost level with the HWY but still a hundred feet over the river. I was doing 65 and he was probably doing 55, so I slowly caught up and passed him as I did I finally saw his broad white tail and white head. It was thew first time I've ever seen a Bald Eagle on the wing so close to me. I slowed down to his speed and rode along with him for a little while until he turned off to make another pass over the river. Amazing. I heard his cry in my sleep later that night.  Sorry I didn't get a pic of that!
